Huge incentives for solar-powered heat pumps under the Inflation Reduction Act
The IRA (not that one...the Inflation Reduction Act) of 2022 may or may not reduce inflation, but it certainly will certainly put a lot of money back into the pockets of those going solar. The solar rebates are going to be increasing to 30% from their current level of 26% until 2032, and then drop down to 26% again for 2 years until 3034. As for heat pumps, the $300 flat rate will increase to a whopping 30%, too. So, solar-powered heat pumps with Energy Star rating will have a rebate of 30%, or even more for qualified lower-to-moderate-income taxpayers, via a government rebate.
