01The big idea
Most “solar AC” setups need batteries, an inverter, and net metering — you end up spending as much on the system around the air conditioner as on the air conditioner itself.
The MS24 skips all of it. Its DC motors run on the same power solar panels make, so panels plug straight into the unit. Sun out? It runs on solar first. Sun fades? Grid power fills in automatically. You switch nothing, manage nothing — and it works on day one with zero panels.
What you don't need
02How it works
01
Connect to a 220/240V outlet and enjoy high-efficiency heating and cooling for larger spaces. No solar required — ever, if you choose.
02
Going off grid? We recommend around 3,000 watts of panels (6–8 standard panels) for year-round comfort in larger spaces.
03
The MS24 seamlessly blends grid and solar power. Solar is prioritized; grid fills in as needed. You never touch a switch.
Too little solar? Grid fills in automatically. Too much? No harm done. You never touch a switch.
03Do it yourself (really)
Most first-timers finish in 2–4 hours. The refrigerant connection itself takes about 5 minutes — by hand.
Set it on a stable surface with room for airflow.
The included hole saw makes the pass-through for the line set. Angle slightly downward for drainage.
Secure the wall bracket, hang the unit, check it is level.
Route the flexible kink-proof lines and connect them by hand. About 5 minutes — no vacuum pump, no gauges.
Mount the isolator and click the solar connectors together — or skip this and run on grid.
Power up, set your comfort mode, done.
Can someone who has never touched HVAC connect a mini-split in under 5 minutes? Timed, on camera.
“Product and installation are both as advertised. I plan to purchase again and would recommend to others.”

04The honest question
Refrigerant leaks from badly-made flare connections. Skipped vacuum steps. Moisture trapped in the lines. Installing a typical mini-split takes a vacuum pump, gauge set, specialized wrenches, adapters, wire cutters — plus the know-how, patience, and time to use them right. Get one step wrong and the system leaks.
We do that work at our US headquarters. The refrigerant lines arrive pre-charged and sealed with our patent-pending Quick ’n’ EasyTM self-sealing twist valves. No flaring, no vacuum, no moisture risk. You twist the connections by hand — the whole hook-up takes about 5 minutes. They even unscrew and reconnect later without losing refrigerant, if you ever move the unit.
Every single unit is tested on solar, grid, and hybrid power before it leaves our building. That's why we can back it for five years — DIY install included.

This was the 3rd Airspool that I installed, I'm getting faster at it. The completeness of what's in the kit always amazes me. Everything is included and no trips to Home Depot were needed. This is the first 24K unit I installed and the line set run was much longer (28') than my other units. The flex hoses in the line set made this super easy to snake under a low deck. I replaced an 18K unit with this Airspool 24K unit. I was a little concerned that the 24K unit was too large for the space (around 1K sqft poorly insulated). But its working great.

07The running cost
Air conditioning is 50–70% of most summer electricity bills. Solar targets that biggest expense directly.
Some customers report running costs under $50 a year — yours depends on sun, climate, and electricity rates.
No inverter, batteries, or net-metering paperwork — panels plug straight into the unit, so the system around the AC costs nothing.

13Logistics
Airspool exists because we decided the hard part of a mini-split install — the refrigerant work — belonged in our shop, not on your wall. Every unit is customized and tested on solar, grid, and hybrid power at our US headquarters before it ships. If you have a question before or after you buy, call or text (725) 699-1200 — you'll get the same people who build and test these units, not a call center.

14Everything else
The indoor unit operates at a whisper-quiet level, comparable to a library. The outdoor unit is slightly louder than the MS12 due to the larger compressor, but still comparable to a normal conversation — you'll barely notice it.
About 1,000 sq ft — an open-concept living room, large workshop, garage, guest house, or ADU. If you only need ~500 sq ft, the MS12 is a better value.
Nope! The MS24 works perfectly on 220/240V grid power alone. Add solar panels whenever you're ready. Many customers start on grid and add solar later.
About 3,000 watts (6-8 standard panels). Budget around $1,300 for panels plus mounting hardware. The solar input range is 150-380V. A little over is fine — grid power fills in any gaps.
220/240V, 20-amp — the same type of power used for your clothes dryer or oven. Most homes already have this available in the laundry room, garage, or at the electrical panel. You can specify whether you want a plug or direct wire at the time of order. If you need a new circuit, an electrician can typically run one in a couple of hours.
Unlike the MS12's copper line set, the MS24 uses a flexible, kink-proof line set. If you've ever worked with 1/2" copper refrigerant lines, you know they kink easily. Our flexible line set bends, routes, and flexes without kinking. It's 16 ft (5 meters), pre-charged, and twist-to-connect. Need more? We can customize up to 49 ft.
Most first-timers finish in 2-4 hours. The Quick ’n’ EasyTM connections take about 5 minutes — the rest is mounting, drilling, and routing. The flexible kink-proof line set actually makes routing easier than rigid copper. Done it before? Under an hour.
Just a drill. We include a hole saw, drill bits, screwdriver bit, level, gloves, and all mounting hardware. No vacuum pump, no gauges, no torque wrench.
No problem either way. Too little solar? Grid power fills in automatically. Too much? The excess voltage goes unused — no damage, no issues. The system adjusts seamlessly.
The MS24 doubles the power: 24,000 BTU (vs 12,000), covers ~1,000 sq ft (vs ~500), requires 220/240V (vs 120V), and comes with a flexible kink-proof line set (vs copper). It needs more solar — around 3,000 watts vs 1,500 watts. Same Quick ’n’ EasyTM connection, same guarantee, same DIY install.
If your winters regularly drop below 5°F, go with the HS24 SuperHeat. It has EVI technology that enables heating down to -22°F — plus 17% better heating efficiency. If your winters are milder (above 5°F), the MS24 handles heating just fine and is a great value. Both are 24,000 BTU with kink-proof line sets and identical cooling performance.
Yes. The Quick ’n’ EasyTM self-sealing valves unscrew and reconnect without losing refrigerant. Disconnect in ~5 minutes, reconnect in ~5 minutes. No HVAC tech needed.
If the sun is shining — yes. Solar panels continue powering the unit even when the grid is down. At night during an outage, you'd need a battery backup or generator.
Clean the indoor air filter quarterly (slide out, rinse, replace — 2 minutes). Vacuum the indoor coil and spray down the outdoor coil annually. That's it.
Indoor and outdoor units (24K BTU), pre-charged 16-ft kink-proof twist-to-connect line set, 220/240V power cord, 23-ft communication wire, wall bracket, remote control, condensate hose, and our free Quick ’n’ EasyTM Bonus Kit (solar whips, DC isolator, solar wire, hole saw, drill bits, level, gloves, and more). Everything except a drill and solar panels.
Shipping is highly discounted worldwide and shown at checkout before you purchase. The MS24 ships on a pallet via a freight carrier and arrives on a truck with a lift gate to your residence or business.
