Designed for straightforward DIY installation with Airspool's Quick ’n’ EasyTM connection system.
The MU24 comes standard with two indoor heads on one 24,000 BTU outdoor unit, and you can optionally add a third indoor head for one more zone.
Runs on solar, grid, or hybrid mode, with solar power prioritized whenever it is available.
One outdoor unit powers the two included indoor heads, with an optional third head available if you want another comfort zone from the same solar/grid hybrid system.
Two rooms standard. Optional third room if you want it. One outdoor unit. Zero HVAC technicians. The Airspool MU24 is the world’s first solar/hybrid multi-split with Quick ’n’ EasyTM connections. That means you can install a true multi-zone HVAC system yourself, twist-connect each indoor unit to the outdoor unit in about 5 minutes per zone, and enjoy independent comfort in two separate spaces out of the box, with the option to add a third zone.

The MU24 is the first multi-head / multi-split solar-hybrid system ever built for real DIY installation. One outdoor unit powers two indoor zones out of the box, with the option to add a third zone if you want it.
That means you can cool or heat two different spaces with one outdoor unit, one solar connection, and one clean install, with the flexibility to expand to a third room. Same hybrid behavior as the MS12 and MS24. Same Quick ’n’ EasyTM connection system. Same Airspool guarantee. Just with multiple indoor heads instead of one.
The MU24 is a true hybrid for "always on" comfort. It runs on solar when the sun's up and automatically uses grid power when it's dark or cloudy. No switches, no downtime, and no batteries required.
Zone 1 includes a 12,000 BTU indoor head and ships with a 16 ft line set.
Zone 2 includes a 12,000 BTU indoor head. It ships with a 10 ft line set, but this one can be extended all the way to 90 ft when needed.
If you want a third zone, you can add it in the MU24 builder and choose the head size and line set that fit that room.
That makes the MU24 ideal for two nearby rooms, or for a layout that starts with two rooms and expands to a third. Measure from the flare connection on each indoor head to the flare connection on the outdoor unit.
The Secret That Will Save You Hours and $$$
Installing a mini-split system typically requires a vacuum pump, gauge set, specialized wrenches, adapters, correct-sized screwdrivers, wire cutters/strippers, and potentially extra refrigerant. Plus, know-how, patience and time.
But not with Airspool.
We do all of that work and pre-install our patent-pending Quick ’n’ EasyTM valves at our US headquarters. So when your unit shows up at your doorstep, you just twist the connections!
With most mini-splits, you get what you get as far as line set length.
But not with Airspool.
Because we customize everything in-house, you have the option to customize the length of your lineset. All the way to 49 ft!
And, since we test all aspects (e.g. solar, grid, and a combination of both) before shipping, we know it's going to work for you. Because of this, you get an unprecedented 5-year functionality guarantee.
Control each zone independently from your phone — set different temperatures for different rooms, schedule each zone's on/off times, and see your solar savings. The Apple/Android app gives you full control from anywhere in the world.
And each indoor unit comes with its own remote for quick, hands-on adjustments.

The indoor units operate at a whisper-quiet level — comparable to a library. The outdoor unit is similar to a normal conversation. You’ll barely notice any of them running.
Yes! Each indoor unit has its own remote and can be controlled independently through the Airspool app. Set Zone 1 to 72°F and Zone 2 to 68°F — the system handles it.
No — this is one of the tradeoffs of a multi-split system. Both zones must be in the same mode (both cooling or both heating). If you need the ability to heat one room while cooling another, consider two separate mini-splits instead.
Great question. With a third indoor unit, the indoor heads total 36,000 BTU (12K + 12K + 12K), but the outdoor compressor is rated at 24,000 BTU. This is normal for multi-splits.
All zones rarely demand maximum power simultaneously. When one room is near its setpoint, it draws less power — leaving more for the other zones. If all the zones are working hard (like initial cool-down on a hot day), the system intelligently distributes capacity. All rooms will still reach their targets.
Both included zones use 12,000 BTU indoor heads. Zone 1 includes a 16 ft line set. Zone 2 includes a 10-ft line set, extendable up to 90 ft. If you add the optional third zone, you can choose the head size and line set that fit that room in the builder.
220/240V, 20-amp — same type used for clothes dryers. Most homes already have this available. A plug can be added free of charge upon request.
No — the MU24 works perfectly on grid power alone. Add solar whenever you’re ready. We recommend about 3,000 watts (~$1,150 for panels plus mounting) when you do.
Plan on 3-5 hours. About 2-3 hours for the first zone (mounting, drilling, routing), then another 1-2 hours for the second zone. The twist-to-connect connections are about 5 minutes per zone.
Just a drill — and ideally an extra set of hands for hanging the indoor units. We include the hole saw, drill bits, screwdriver bit, level, and all hardware for both zones.
Multi-split (MU24) advantages: lower cost, one outdoor unit, less wiring, one solar connection, smaller outdoor footprint.
Separate mini-split advantages: full redundancy, shorter line sets, ability to heat one room while cooling another simultaneously, 120V option for 12K units.
If your zones are close together and don’t need simultaneous heat/cool — go MU24.
Yes. All twist-to-connect valves unscrew and reconnect without losing refrigerant. The entire system is portable — disconnect in about 5 minutes per zone.
Same as all Airspool units. Too little? Grid fills in automatically. Too much? Excess goes unused harmlessly.
Clean each indoor unit’s air filter quarterly. Vacuum the indoor coils and spray down the outdoor coil annually. Simple and quick for all zones.
The standard MU24 package includes 1 outdoor unit (24K BTU), 2 indoor units, pre-charged twist-to-connect line sets for both included zones, 220/240V power cord, communication wire, 2 wall brackets, 2 remote controls, condensate hose, and the free Quick ’n’ EasyTM Bonus Kit. If you add the optional third zone in the builder, that extra indoor unit and its matching hardware are included with that configuration.
Shipping is highly discounted worldwide and shown at checkout before you purchase. The MU24 ships palletized and arrives on a truck with a lift gate to your residence or business.
