2025 Tax Credit Guide

2025 IRS Form 5695 Guide for Solar Hybrid Air Conditioners

A step-by-step breakdown on how to claim the 30% Inflation Reduction Act tax credit for your Airspool unit.

Form 5695: Making Green for Going Green

If you purchased an Airspool unit recently and pay federal income taxes, you may be eligible for a significant tax credit. As we head into tax season, it is time to look at Form 5695, used under the Inflation Reduction Act.

This credit may allow you to deduct 30% of the cost of your Airspool setup, including the Airspool unit itself, solar panels and mounting hardware, and outside labor used for installation of both.

Important: This page is for general information only and is not tax advice. Please consult a qualified tax professional to confirm your eligibility and filing details.
1

Step 1: Solar Panels and Installation

Add up your solar panel costs, mounting hardware, and third-party labor for that portion of the installation. Enter that total on Line 1.

Keep all supporting documentation. If you have no other adjustments, you will generally end up with 30% of Line 1 reflected on Line 13.

Step 2: Heat Pump and Labor

Enter the Airspool unit cost and any professional labor costs on Line 29a.

For the Qualified Manufacturer field, Airspool's QMIN is T3N1.

Note: This assumes your Airspool unit was your most expensive qualifying heat pump. If another qualifying heat pump cost more, use that unit's amount and its corresponding QMIN instead.

Step 3: Finalizing the Credit

If your Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit Limit Worksheet shows a value larger than 30% of Line 29e, then the tax credit shown on Line 32 may be available to you.

If you do not owe enough taxes this year to use the full credit, you may be able to carry it forward to next year. Review Line 16 and the IRS instructions for details.
